Yesterday I spent my day off with my friend Jaclyn and her baby girl, Addison. We played outside and then went shopping for party favors for her 1st birthday party which is next weekend. We also made a stop at the pet store. She likes to watch the rats run on the wheel. Check out her cute arm rolls. You can even see her tan lines between the rolls.

Memorial Day

We started off our day at the Maybins. They had a big gathering and grilled some really good seafood. Then we got to spend some time with little Drew. He is getting so big so fast. It's hard to believe he will be 2 months old next week.

I think he may be pooping

Uncle Bruce's 60th Bday

As most of you already know my grandmother is battling brain cancer and was only given a few weeks to live, so I have been trying to spend as much time as possible at home with her and the family. To brighten the mood we have dominoe and corn hole (newer version of horse shoes with bean bags) competitions with the neighbors . Sunday was also my uncle's 60th birthday so we had a party and grilled out. Grandma really enjoys seeing everyone having a good time.

Aunt Joan & Uncle Stan

Aunt Joan and Uncle Stan came to town this week and Tuesday they came to our house for dinner. Joe cooked an awesome meal!! We had mussels, tuna and shrimp off the grill, broccoli and stuffed tomatoes. I'm pretty sure that everyone enjoyed everything. If all that wasn't enough, Joe then made fruit parfaits for evryone.

Everyone at the table. Believe it or not this is the first time we have sat at the dining room table

Wine Biscuits

Wine biscuits are a family recipe that the Rosati's have been making for some time now. If you attended our wedding then you probably had some. I can remember making these cookies with my grandpa when I was a little girl. At our bridal shower I was given the recipe and a couple of months ago my grandmother sat down with me and showed me how to make them so I could carry on the recipe. Monday I decided to make a batch all by myself. I think they turned out pretty well if I must say so myself. Here are some step-by-step photos

Kickball

Last Sunday Joe and the fire department played in a kickball game against the Maitland Police Department. The fire department slaughtered the police department and Joe was named MVP. After the game we went back his chief's house to celebrate. He had a beautiful home in Baldwin Park, complete with a "man cave" that looked like a fire house.

Relay For Life

On Friday evening the City of Maitland hosted Relay for Life, an event to honor those fighting cancer and to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer. The fire department participated in the event to raise money for cancer. Their stand sold popcorn, snow cones, and sodas. They also had one of the games where you use the big hammer and hit the base to try and get the ball to ring the bell at the top. It was alot of fun. I made all the banners and signs for their tent. The cool looking fire truck was made a couple years ago by a woman. Overall the event was a success and lots of money was raised.
