13 weeks

We are 13 weeks along now which means we made it to the second trimester. The baby is the size of a peach. I am feeling better now and eating more. It won't be long now before I start packing on the pounds. I'm still tired all the time though. We go to the doctors again on August 3rd. We should get the results back from the downsyndrome testing then. We had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and I hadn't posted the pictures yet so here they are...

Lola's Bday Party

Lola's not quite 1 year old yet but will be real soon so we had a birthday party for her while they were in town. We kept with the pink theme and sweet treats. Renee made some awsome "pink" velvet cupcakes and a cupcake shaped cake. Lola loved opening and playing with all her presents. Lets not forget Lola's smash cake (also made by Renee). Lola really enjoyed eating it with her hands and had icing everywhere. She needed a bath afterwards. Here are a few pictures below but click HERE so see them all.

Wekiva Springs

Yesterday we met up with John, Kristen, Renee and Lola at Wekiva Springs. I have never been there before but have been wanting to go since it's not that far away from where we live. It was beautiful. The water was ice cold and it was a little shocking at first when you first get in but after a while it felt so good because it was so hot outside. The other thing that made it so nice was the the fact that there was no sand like at the beach. You don't have to worry about finding sand in places where the sun don't shine days later. Next time we go we want to bring a cooler and pack lunch and have a pinic. I also want to bring rafts to lay on in the water. The water is so shallow that even those who can't swim can go in.

Cousin Jenny Visits

Joe's cousin Jenny came for a visit and stayed about a week and a half. She came down while Joe's parents were in St.Louis visiting Clark and Dexter to help out with grandma. I have never met her before but you would never know it. We had so much fun together (mostly getting in trouble) :) I can't wait for her to visit again. Here are a few pictures of our last night together when Joe's parents got home and we all went to dinner for Janis's bday.

Lola's here!!

Lola arrived in Florida yesterday. Of course she brought her mom and dad along too. We haven't seen her since last December and she has grown so much. She is crawling around everywhere and she is beginning to take a few steps. We went to Aunt Linda's last night for dinner and visited with them.

GREAT visiters

This weekend Joe and I had some GREAT people come stay with us. First Jenny, my friend from London, came on Thursday and then my sister and her boyfriend came Friday night. Jenny and I had an egagement party to attend Saturday for some friends of ours that met while working at Carrabbas (just like me and Joe). The party was more like a Carrabbas reunion. It was weird seeing some of those faces again. Sunday Joe and I had lunch with Tiffany and Frankie and then played a game of putt putt. It was so hot outside that it was not enjoyable at all. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

10 weeks

So I know I have been slacking lately with the blog. I have just been so tired and unmotivated thanks to the pregnancy. In a few weeks it should get better though and I promise I will update this more often. We are in week 10 and we have been pretty lucky so far. Other then being really tired all the time I have only been sick a few times and only feel nausea every now and then. The sick part may be from a bug I might have lingering in me too since I can't take any medicine.

We had our second doctor's appointment today. The doctor says everything is looking good and is right on schedule. We also heard Pilaf's heart beat today for the first time. It was amazing! It was beating fast and steady. Just perfect! We go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound where the doctor will look at the baby's neck for down syndrome. Then after that I will go for all my blood work and then it will be time to see the doctor again in August.
